I am however thinking I would just build it as a straight bucket and wait till i can find a used Bob Tach rotator. I think from the blades I have seen it needs to be really heavy.

Use the bucket instead, it gives you more weight up front when it's loaded and you can keep digging and pushing in the same slot, that makes it very productive.
