I put 5' forks on my skid steer or CTL (Compact Track Loader) and it will walk all over in deep mud with a full load of hardwood logs. Unless you are never going to take the thing off of a cement pad, I would go with a skid steer. I use mine all the time to lift 2500 lbs with the pallet forks. A skid steer can go anywhere, and you can buy all kinds of toys for it for other uses. A fork lift only has one use. A wheel loader is the best for heighth, but the skid steer has it all over the wheel loader (CAT 910 in my case) for speed. The forestry mulcher is the only thing that we will have to have to make sure the next skid steer can run it safely. So what are the pros/cons of the various brands now? Case, Deere, Kobota. we have pretty good dealer support for most brands. Skid steers are vital for forestry work, offering agility and power. Top models like Caterpillar 299D3 XE excel in land clearing with high-performance features. Bobcat's T770 and Kubota's SVL95-2s prioritize durability and efficiency, .

According to the specs the t750 is the lowest model that you could use a FC with.
