My 246 skidsteer will crank over but will not start. The lift pump is delivering fuel up to the injector pump but nothing comes out of the injector pump. I think there is something wrong with the fuel shut off solenoid. I parked it and the next day it won't do anything. The key turns on, everything beeps, but when I turn the key to ignition, nothing happens. Still turns over very slow. Removed belt to a/c. I have a 2000 Cat 246 with around 800 hrs. Yesterday I started my machine up just fine, let it warm up and started to move some snow. After about 20 mins it just shut down on me. no sputtering or gradual power loss- just total shutdown.
Cat 246 skid steer loader. Will not crank. The seat bar and park lights prove out when the key is turned but then both go out no matter the position of the lap bar.
Older 246 skid steer. Keeping it short and simple, had a fuel issues so I changed lifter pump and was able to get full fuel pressure and was able to get it running (using either) and it ran fine for a solid 8 hours (also put fuel additive in)
