Considering purchasing the Lowe brand model A-220 skid steer auger. Anyone . Dec 2, 2014. I have a Bobcat skidsteer and want to purchase a auger for it..I prefer to buy .
As far as augers go, all mine are Pengo brand, and I love them. They make a Bolt on rock head (BOHR) for all of them and they are heavy enough to handle it. They chew through tree roots and old fence posts. Danuser augers would be fine too. Really anything from Danuser is good, but, really compare that Bobcat digger before you throw money down.
I have a Belltec auger drive that I use with different size augers. I have a Ditch Witch SK755 so that I can get in 36" wide gates. Much more powerful than a Dingo.
I need an auger drive and rock bit (lots of weathered schist), and need recommendations on the brand. I'll probably only be drilling 30 or so holes, for now, but I want something descent. I am not inclined to hiring someone, either. Users share their experiences with JCT skid steer augers, a cheap alternative to Bobcat brand. Some report good performance, others encounter issues with rocky soil and bracket bending. Model 30 is generally for digging in very hard ground with a rock auger or for large diameter augers. Model 10 is for soft easy to dig soils with the smaller auger bits on the smaller loaders and excavators.
Considering purchasing the Lowe brand model A-220 skid steer auger. Anyone know if they are decent?
Dec 2, 2014. I have a Bobcat skidsteer and want to purchase a auger for it..I prefer to buy a good used one if that is possible. I do not know much about skid augers as I have never used one but have watched others. What are some good brands of augers to look at and what kind of problems can you have with augers? (I dig lots of 6'deep by 36 inch diameter holes--it takes a good auger and a big skid to do them). I own because I dig many holes each week for my clients and I also sub out to others. I have had a redneck style auger that clamped to the cutting edge of the bucket on my old 722 Bobcat. It was a old Danauser pto style that I modified years ago. I think the old skidder is about used up and I never liked how the auger was far away from me and the way I made it, it was always swinging around when I had to drive any distance. I'm looking to get an auger and several bits very soon. I know about Caterpillar's models but would like to see what else is available. Please discuss and provide links.
