I'm not saying that Cat is the best, but Bobcat definitely is not anymore, Takeuchi's are very powerful machines, it takes sometime to get used to their pilot controls, but they will eat a Bobcat alive. IMO then Bobcat is the way to go. I can't speak of current machines, but of the 3 brands I have run the most Bobcat was the heaviest machine. Which if that still holds true would be the machine I would think you would want. I think I would want the TL12 which is similar weight and power wise to the T870 sorta. Difficult to decide whose specs are right vs whose are inflated? Dealer support is about the same both are 15 minutes from my land. I kinda hate to buy a Japanese machine but Bobcat is not really American anymore I guess? Anyone have a TL12 with some hours .

Based on availability of local support, cost and financing, I've narrowed the field to include the Cat 299C, Bobcat T320, and Takeuchi TL250. Will probably get one with enclosed cab, two speed, and aux hydraulics. Heavily leaning toward a Cat 242- 256 2013 or newer. Looking at used rubber tracked skid steers. Ran across a couple that I am interested in. Takeuchi TL140/ 1400+-hrs and a Cat 267B less than 1000hrs. What is the good bad and ugly of these units. I have only been around rubber tired Bobcats in the past. Will use it on a grapple, pallet fork and light dirt work. TL140 has 80hp and 2spd.
