We don't have room to get a truck to the patios though. All material is dug with the skid (quickly ) hauled to the front into the truck. Then haul the base back. Without the skid being there full time no production. Pick the one with the best lift capacity. I've got one of the smaller Dingo's, love it, but it cannot pick up a pallet of sod. So.20-20 hindsite, I'd love to have a mini skid with higher lift capacity. The other thing to consider is attachments. I hope someone will chime in and correct me if .

I find it to be the opposite. I like the skid steer for wide open areas and the 3pt for everything else. I brought my skid steer rake home to do my yard and just could not get it the way I thought it should be. So I borrowed a 3pt rake and was shocked at how easy it was to use. I no longer do that type of work and am going to buy a new(er) skid steer with a cab. Anticipated uses are leveling, grading, spreading gravel, etc. Where I live now it is basically all farm land with no rocks for 100 miles and flat as a pancake.
